Pinch Pleat Curtains and Twin Roman Blinds. Runcton Holme, Norfolk.

I have a project for you Helena. I have chosen my fabric. I would like to reuse the interlining from my old pinch pleat curtains if possible. My roman blind systems can you refresh and revive them and make new.

This job was a case of taking apart the old curtains. Then carefully cleaning the roman blind systems and giving them a new life. Now it is time to cut out the new fabric and hand make the new pinch pleat curtains and two roman blinds to compliment this incredibly beautiful room. It is always a good feeling to be able to reuse existing systems. The new fabric was 100% linen, so we had to be careful. On the roman blinds I wanted to balance the stripes so when these two sat against each other they had a complete professional touch. Getting the drape right on the puddled curtains was my next challenge. I went back to an old technique that enabled the perfect sweetheart puddle.

Installation day was upon us and we were a little nervous as I had used my new measurements for the roman blinds as the previously made roman blinds did not have the perfect fit my customer wanted. With the inside recess being raw brick where the roman blinds would sit was always going to be interesting. Everything went well and we were pleased with the results.

We are so pleased with our blinds & curtains, thanks so much.
